Your Donation Is Critical

No matter what the emergency, the dedicated men and women of Lake Travis Fire Rescue are here for you, your family and your property. When the alarm sounds, we are easy to see. When all is quiet, we are still here, ready to respond to your emergency.

One of the most common misconceptions of your Emergency Services District’s (ESD) funding is that if Lake Travis Fire Rescue accepts property tax, as well as sales tax funds, then its basic needs are met. This simply is not true! Our routine obligations, including mission-critical items such as building new stations and maintaining existing stations, purchasing new equipment and maintaining existing fire and rescue apparatus, staffing and training, exceed the tax revenue allowed by the State of Texas. The residential and commercial development density in our service area is growing at a furious, dramatic pace. Our tax funds are locked in with no room for additional tax revenue.

Your donation is critical in allowing us to maintain the highest level of emergency response and readiness for the 200 square mile area we serve, which includes property highly susceptible to wildland fires. Remember – we also want to improve and expand upon the level of service you are provided – not merely maintain what you have now. (For more information click here.)
