Mission:

  • To minimize loss of life and property through emergency response, prevention and community involvement.

We are pleased to have you visit our web site.  We hope we can help you find out about us, also for us to find better ways to serve you.

We serve a diverse area in Western Travis County with Fire, EMS, Rescue and Fire Prevention Services.

Our District is guided by five appointed Fire Commissioners, who set policy and general direction for us.

As our name suggests (Emergency Service District # 6) we provide a large area (over 200 square miles) with emergency services.  We recently changed our common name to Lake Travis Fire Rescue. We hope this name represents the communities we serve more accurately.   We used to be known as Hudson Bend Fire Department, from the original area we started serving in the 1960’s.  Our team is willing, ready and able to meet your emergency needs.  Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
